NOW THE ANSWERS ARE:
1) August Michael Joseph Jackson was the seventh child born to Joe and Katherine Jackson in Gary, Indiana on August 29, 1958.
2) Steeltown Founded by Gordon Keith in the Jackson's hometown of Gary, Indiana, Steeltown Records was the first label the group signed with, in 1967. The brothers released two singles entitled "We Don't Have to Be 21 (to Fall in Love)" and "Big Boy", which were local hits, the latter being the biggest of the two. In July, 1968, the group joined the the Motown label and the rest is history.
3) "Diana Ross Presents The Jackson 5" In 1969, "Diana Ross Presents The Jackson 5" was the first album the brothers released from the Motown label. The album featured covers of other artists' songs such as Stevie Wonder's "My Cherie Amour" and Sly and the Family Stone's "Stand", as well as the first of their four consecutive U.S. Number One hits, "I Want You Back".
4) "Mama's Pearl" After topping the charts with their first four releases, The Jackson 5 had their consecutive Number Ones string broken up after their song, "Mama's Pearl", could not knock off a song by another group of brothers, The Osmonds' "One Bad Apple", from the top spot in February of 1971.
5) 1971 "The Jackson Five" cartoon debuted on ABC on September 11, 1971, with an episode entitled, 'It All Started With...'. The show ran for two seasons and produced 23 episodes.
6) "The Dating Game" Hosted by Jim Lange from 1965-1973 on ABC, "The Dating Game" was the grandfather to the 1980s syndicated game show, "Love Connection". The premise was that a single guy or gal would ask questions to three members of the opposite sex from behind a partition and, based on those answers, pick the one that they felt gave them the best responses to their questions. In 1972, a 14-year-old Michael Jackson made his appearance on the show. After asking the allotted questions, Michael chose contestant Number One, Latonya Simmons, to go on a date with him, which was a trip to New York to see the Jackson Five in concert :shifty: .
7) FALSE Running as a summer replacement for CBS for four weeks from June to July of 1976, "The Jacksons" variety show was a big success for the network, so much so that the show was picked up as a mid-season replacement in January, 1977. Every sibling appeared on the show except for Jermaine, who had left the group in 1975 after the family had changed labels from Motown to Epic. Michael appeared in every episode.
8) "Got To Be There" In 1972, Motown released "Got To Be There", which was Michael's first solo album. A mixture of original material and remakes, the album saw three singles hit the Top 10 on the Billboard Pop and R&B charts: the title cut, "Got To Be There" (#4, Pop; #4 R&B), "Rockin' Robin" (#2, Pop; #2, R&B), and "I Wanna Be Where You Are" (#2, R&B).
9) ''4'' Michael released four previous albums before teaming with Quincy Jones on the hugely successful "Off the Wall" LP. They were "Got to Be There" (1972), "Ben" (1972), "Music and Me" (1973), and "Forever Michael" (1975).
10) ''1'' Released in August of 1979 and spending eight months in the Top 10 on the U.S. Billboard Album chart, "Off the Wall" won only one Grammy award, shockingly, which was for Best R&B Performance for "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough".
11) ''7'' November 30, 1982 is one of the most important dates in rock history because it was on this date that "Thriller" was released, which became one of the biggest records in the history of rock and roll. With Quincy Jones producing another Jackson album (he also worked with him on "Off the Wall"), the Pop chart saw an incredible seven of its nine tracks climb at least to the Top 10.
"The Girl is Mine" (#2, Pop; #1, R&B)
"Billie Jean" (#1, Pop; #1, R&B)
"Beat It" (#1, Pop; #1, R&B)
"Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'" (#5, Pop; #5, R&B)
"Human Nature" (#7, Pop; #27, R&B)
"P.Y.T." (#10, Pop; #46, R&B)
"Thriller" (#4, Pop; #3, R&B)

12) Jeffrey Daniel On May 16, 1983, "Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, and Forever" premiered on NBC to monster ratings. The show had been taped in March of that year and broadcast during the May sweeps. Michael stole the show with his performance of "Billie Jean" when he unveiled his Moonwalk dance, a move taught to him by Jeffrey Daniel of the group Shalamar. Daniel did the Backslide, as it was called, on the British show "Top of the Pops" during a performance of his group's hit song "A Night to Remember", in 1982, a full year before Michael's Motown performance.

13) "Another Part of Me" After the monsterous success of "Thriller", no one expected Michael's next release to come anywhere near that feat, and yet, in many ways, 1987's "Bad" might have been the much stronger album; it definitely exceeded its predecessor in the amount of Number One hits it contained ("Bad" had five, while "Thriller" only had two). Of the 11 songs on the album, seven broke into the Top 15 on the U.S. Billboard Pop and R&B charts. And, of those seven songs, "Another Part of Me" was the only one to miss getting into the Top Ten, peaking at Number 11. The other song, "Smooth Criminal", got as high as Number Seven.
